Hey guys, I need some help. I want to create a "Tribute To Mikey" page for PanicStream.com . I got the idea after downloading and listening to the 'Mikey Compilation' off Puba and wanted a way to permanantly honor him on my site in a respectful and dignified way, while also promoting the Michael Houser Music Fund.

Here is what I am needing:

• Single track recordings of songs in which something is unique or special in the way Mikey played the tune. I would also like to have the recordings of the final time Mikey publicly played a tune.
  
  Images that portray Mikey's personality and convey his love of music, friends, fans, and family. I may ultimately convert all images to black & white in order to increase the overall effect of the page.

For the music, I will create a page where you can instantly listen to the songs of your choice. I can accept any audio format (Flac, Shn, Wav, Wma, or Mp3). The files will ultimately be coverted into Mp3 and then Flash files for streaming purposes so Mp3 may be the easiest format to send them. When you upload an audio track be sure and state what makes the track unique or special and also what name you would like to be listed as for submitting the file. I want to give credit where credit is due.

For images, you can email them to me directly. All images are assumed to be in the public domain but I would like to give credit to the photographer if known.

I am only posting this request on DigitalPanic as I respect the depth of knowledge and experience present on this board. Therefore, I am relying on the members of this board to assist me in gathering content for this tribute.

If you knew Mikey personally and would like to write an introduction on the page or a testimonial about how Mikey touched your life, please contact me directly.

I am posting a Sit n Ski (2-6-96) on PanicStream tomorrow but getting the Mikey Tribute up next week will have my priority over the posting of any other shows in the short term.

It's tough to read some of that stuff, but some incredible stories. Be prepared for a TON of reading.

Thanks for the link. I will definately include it on my page. I will probably focus more on the streaming audio aspects of a tribute in allowing people to instantly listen to his special tracks. The photos will be used to enhance the overall effect of the page.

I have some pics I took of his last show here in Iowa...they arent digi but they were with my old point and shoot. I could use my scanner and get them to you if that would intrest you....

I think I have at least 2-3 good shots of Mikey and JB.

That would be great. I will give you credit as the owner of the images. After you scan them, either upload them thru the site, or email them to me.

BTW, I hope to have 2-6-96 up around noon CST. The page is built. I just need to finish converting and uploading the audio.

Do you have a home addy that I could mail a disc full of shows that I have shot???

Most everything else I have is digital.

I have about 7 shows or so, possibly 75-100 shots?? ITs just to big to email and upload all those pics with out a hassle.

Reguardless I will send over the shots from 7-2-02 this weekend.

I just got some time and sent them over right now. I almost forgot I had to work late tonight and I have a dinner after that to go to.

I'd rather do it now....than put it off til later. I never know when/what will come up.....

I just posted 2-6-96 (Sit n Ski) on my site. I had planned on getting it up this morning but one of my athletes fractured his fibula and I didnt have a chance to work on the site because I was dealing with his injury.
