Wow....finally! Hopefully this is a nice upgrade to my Senn K6 source, which is a little windy. How's the sound? Would still like to hear the SBD someone in the ISO thread was talking about. This show smokes, the first set is insane! Thanks for getting this one up to all involved!!

no problem! thanks to everyone who helped get this one going. It sounds pretty darn good for an outdoor show, not that much wind noise. this one gets my vote for the best 1st set of 95

you'll definitely hear some wind phasing but overall not bad at all. haven't heard any other source to compare to so...
for some reason it sounds like the sound overall slowly improves as the show goes on. could just be the 3 new bottles of bourbon i got over the holidays affecting my ears.
but by driving song, my ears are happier.

i'm just thankful to hear this one again. it was just a perfect day and night for the show and just one of those times...at least for me...where everything was ON. i still remember JB walking out with his shades on and hitting the opening for LGTSOTR....you knew it was go time then.

As I remember, and that is usually not good, the entire band rolled out in sungalsses for the second set. They were on.....great show.

I've got cass. tapes of the Van Ryper's show the next day. It was a great time except for the parking lot scene...lots of hassle. If I remember correctly there was only one or two aud tapers...sbd patches, who knows. I talked to a guy just after the show who was taping and got his address. We traded the next week. Therefore at least my tapes are a first gen of his. The note with the tapes only says "1st Gen, Sony D5>NAK 300s". One or two From Good Homes songs for filler. Also, a radio promo at "Records-n-Such" in Albany, NY (7-29-93). Also taped by the same guy with the same set up. With John Popper, acoustic. All sounds great...for aud on a tape almost 10 years old. I'd be happy to send to anyone to transfer...I've gotten a lot off this site and would love to give something back...this may be my only chance...or there may be a much better path to get this show seeded. Let me know.

Wooly, Sounds great. I have no idea how to transfer but maybe somebody out there can help. If the VanRYper's show gets seeded from your tapes, I owe you a soda!
